AmsterdamInvest-NL and EIF launched the Dutch Future Fund (DFF) on 30 October 2020.
This new initiative makes more financing available for innovative SMEs ready to scale up. Both parties have invested €150 million, enabling a total mobilisation of €1.5 billion in capital. EIF estimates that approximately 10-15 funds will benefit from this in total, allowing around 200 innovative companies to be financed. The Invest-NL investment includes a contribution of €25 million from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy.
The DFF places special emphasis on investments with a focus on the energy transition, sustainability and circular economy—themes that are high priorities for both the Netherlands and the EIB Group. Where companies are under pressure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this initiative provides Dutch SMEs with new capital to invest.
