Our manifesto
Progress does not come naturally. You have to take risks. Show courage. Push boundaries. That is exactly what we do. Look ahead, value groundbreaking ideas, and remove financing bottlenecks. All with a clear goal in mind: helping the Netherlands move forward.
Invest where others hesitate
We do this with conviction. As a national funding and development agency, we have the mandate and capital to invest where others hesitate or are not yet able. This is how we get things moving. Our actions help companies scale up, persuade investors, and provide prospects for new sectors.
Making progress together
Change is not achieved alone. As a central player, we connect financiers, innovative entrepreneurs, knowledge institutions, and governments, both in the Netherlands and in Europe. Together, we can make strides. We seek solutions and resolve financing bottlenecks. We mobilize capital and fund entrepreneurs who make the Netherlands more sustainable and innovative.

We want to make an impact. We do this within a number of strategic themes. We are fully committed to Energy because our future is fossil-free. Biobased & Circular is the only way to a sustainable and resilient economy. And with Agrifood, we focus on a sustainable food system that considers people, animals, and the environment. With Life Sciences & Health, we stimulate initiatives that keep healthcare affordable, accessible, and staffed. In the field of Deep Tech, we invest in the advanced technology of the future.
