How Invest-NL can contribute to biodiversity

Biodiversity – all living organisms, systems, and their interactions – forms the foundation of all life on Earth, and preserving it is crucial for the future of our society and therefore also our economy. Over the past year, Invest-NL has conducted an extensive exploration to investigate the role we can play in the biodiversity transition.

This exploration includes a detailed analysis of the challenges involved and the measures that have been taken so far. This study was conducted in collaboration with, among others, financiers, knowledge institutions, entrepreneurs, NGOs, and government agencies.

The exploration emphasizes how essential biodiversity is for the stability of our society and economy. The decline in biodiversity is indeed a direct threat to food security, climate adaptation, and our health.

The vision document is a summary of the exploration and the potential role that Invest-NL can play in financing and supporting innovation on this topic.
