Invest-NL supports micromobility by investing in Dott. This investment will help reduce carbon and nitrogen emissions by providing alternative mobility for short inner city car journeys. Based in Amsterdam, Dott designs and maintains electric vehicles (e-scooters and e-bikes) for shared use in urban areas. Since its incorporation in 2018, the company has focused on sustainable, electric micromobility in the fight against air pollution and carbon emissions.

Invest-NL is investing as part of a € 71 million share issue. Aside from Invest-NL, other investors involved in the transaction include EQT Ventures, Prosus Ventures, Sofina, Estari, Quadia, Aberdeen Standard Investments, Expon Capital, Felix Capital, FJ Labs, McRock Capital and various angel investors.
This round of financing will allow Dott to create sustainable international growth based on transparent public-private collaboration and the development of digital solutions enabling seamless multimodality for urban areas. Together with several investors, Invest-NL drove the creation of a ‘Sustainability Board’ to safeguard the company’s further sustainability activities.
The investment in Dott fits in well with the focus on sustainable and innovative companies, which is key in Invest-NL’s investment strategy.
