New InvestEU Advisory partner: European support for Invest-NL’s Transition Booster
Invest-NL has become an InvestEU Advisory partner and receives funding from the InvestEU Advisory Hub for the new programme Transition Booster. Through this, we support promising projects that are not yet financeable but are essential for societal transitions in the Netherlands. This demonstrates how European capital helps to kickstart innovation.
From idea to financable proposal
The InvestEU Advisory Hub assists initiatives across Europe with advice and knowledge to make more projects financeable. As a national partner within this European network, Invest-NL is now providing this support through the Transition Booster: a programme that accelerates innovation and makes financing possible.
The Transition Booster supports projects, sectors, and organisations that play a key role in the green, digital, and social transitions of the European economy but are not yet ready for investment. Our goal: to bridge the gap between innovation and a financable plan.
First projects underway
The first projects receiving support via the Transition Booster are:
- Industrial Demand Side Response (IDSR) – How can industrial electricity demand be made more flexible so that the energy system remains sustainable and affordable?
- Nature Restoration – What is needed to make nature restoration projects financable? We explore investable models that can restore ecosystems.
- Novel Foods investor framework – Helps entrepreneurs and investors navigate European legislation and regulations related to innovative foods.
These projects demonstrate how Invest-NL, together with partners, is working towards a sustainable energy system, healthier ecosystems, and future-proof healthcare.
Pipeline for financable innovations
With the Transition Booster, we strengthen the pipeline of projects ready for financing. In this way, Invest-NL contributes to a more sustainable and innovative Netherlands, supported by European capital.
About InvestEU
The InvestEU programme provides the European Union with crucial long-term funding by leveraging substantial private and public funds in support of a sustainable recovery. It also helps mobilise private investments for the European Union's policy priorities, such as the European Green Deal and the digital transition.
The InvestEU programme brings together under one roof the multitude of EU financial instruments currently available to support investment in the European Union, making funding for investment projects in Europe simpler, more efficient and more flexible. The programme consists of three components: the InvestEU Fund, the InvestEU Advisory Hub and the InvestEU Portal. The InvestEU Advisory Hub, through advisory support offered to project developers, improves the quality of investment projects and their alignment with the EU long term policy goals.
