Portal for new TOPSS investments is now closed
As of 1 October, Invest-NL has stopped accepting new applications for the Temporary Bridging Loan Programme for Innovative Start-ups and Scale-ups (TOPSS). Through the TOPSS programme, Invest-NL is providing innovative companies with funding so that they can continue to invest during the initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. Invest-NL has allocated € 100 million of its own capital for this purpose.
Invest-NL has received 41 official applications in total since TOPSS was launched on 29 April. ViCentra was the first company to benefit from a TOPSS investment package. A second package is due to be announced very shortly, and a further eight applications are currently being processed.
TOPSS has proved not to be an appropriate source of funding for eight other applications. They will now be processed under Invest-NL’s regular investment facilities, which provide a better match for the specific financing needs of the companies concerned. Invest-NL has declined a further 13 applications. Another ten applications were halted after Invest-NL received no follow-up from the applicants.
