Energy and nature: The powerful combination on industrial estates

Invest-NL is committed to a CO₂-neutral and circular economy, with the energy transition and biodiversity as key pillars. Making industrial areas more sustainable is an important step in this process. In addition to reducing CO₂ emissions, making industrial areas more sustainable also offers opportunities to improve local biodiversity. Invest-NL, together with PVB Nederland, Rebel, and the Nature and Environment Federation South Holland, developed a brochure to assist industrial areas in combining smart solutions. By approaching sustainability across various aspects (energy, biodiversity, and climate adaptation) as a single integrated business case, broad sustainability improvements in industrial areas become (financially) feasible and can even be accelerated.
