Invest-NL's government investment helps Xeltis advance innovation for dialysis patients.

Xeltis is developing implants that stimulate the body to produce new, endogenous blood vessels on its own. For dialysis patients, this technology could potentially result in fewer infections and fewer procedures compared to the current solution.

From research to practical application

Xeltis has made significant progress over the past few years. With the new funding, the company aims to make the treatment more widely available across Europe, expand production, and complete ongoing research in the United States. Additionally, Xeltis is working on other applications of the same technology.

The financing round is led by Horizon 3 Healthcare, a new investor in Xeltis. Also participating in the round are the European Innovation Council, VI Partners, EQT Life Sciences, DaVita, and other existing shareholders.

Long-term support for medical innovation

Invest-NL has been supporting Xeltis since 2023 and is investing again with this round. The investment helps Xeltis further develop and make a new medical solution available to patients, with the aim of providing better care and reducing costs associated with complications and follow-up treatments.

By investing early and continuing to support companies through later growth phases, Invest-NL helps promising innovations transition from development to real-world application.
