The Healthy Food Systems Impact Fund II is expected to amount to € 60 million. Other investors such as Oost NL and Invest International are now getting on board as well.
'We're very proud of Invest-NL's and the other major investors' confidence in PYMWYMIC. Their investment will facilitate our mission to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable food system.' Rogier Pieterse, PYMWYMIC's Managing Director.
Nicolaas Heij, senior investment manager at Invest-NL: 'Through its first fund, Invest-NL has shown that it can make a significant impact in terms of improving the sustainability of the food chain. This is relevant because there is currently limited capital available within the Dutch AgriFood sector for this type of early-stage investment. Due to this focus, the fund aligns with our investment strategy to accelerate the transition to a carbon-neutral and circular economy.'
