Deep tech investment in SandGrain for the digital security of tomorrow

SandGrain raises a total of € 13.5 million in a Series A round, led by Innovation Industries. In addition to Invest-NL, the Brabant Development Agency (BOM) and existing shareholders are also participating. With this funding, SandGrain can deploy its CyberRock solution worldwide. SandGrain primarily focuses on sectors where security of autonomous devices is essential, such as industrial applications, critical infrastructure, aerospace, and defense sectors.

Secure identification without a central database

SandGrain's technology consists of two components: a tiny chip (hardware token) with an immutable, globally unique ID, and a secure cloud platform that manages the associated secret keys. This combination of hardware and software makes it possible to reliably recognize and verify each device without the need for central databases.

This approach ensures maximum security, low costs, and easy integration. In this way, SandGrain addresses a growing need for reliable identification in a world with increasingly autonomous devices, such as drones, robots, and self-driving vehicles.

A standard for digital security
