Invest-NL invests € 10 million in Forward.One's Deep Tech fund
Invest-NL invests € 10 million in Forward.One Fund III, the new fund of venture capital firm Forward.One. The fund focuses on groundbreaking technologies in semiconductors, industrial technology, and climate tech. Through this, we support innovations that are essential for sustainability and strengthening the Dutch and European economies.
In the Netherlands, there is a significant shortage of risk capital for Deep Tech. Forward.One is one of the few specialised Deep Tech funds in the Netherlands. With our investment, we ensure that more capital becomes available for deep tech startups and support the venture capital landscape in the Netherlands.
Forward.One distinguishes itself with a hands-on approach: the fund not only provides capital to young Deep Tech companies but also helps improve their commercial capabilities and international networks. In previous funds, Forward.One guided startups such as Sensorfact and Mayht towards successful exits.
With Fund III, aiming for a size of at least € 200 million, Forward.One will have greater influence to support innovative Deep Tech startups in the Benelux, DACH, and Nordics regions. For Invest-NL, this presents an opportunity to strengthen the Dutch Deep Tech ecosystem and to co-invest in promising companies.
