Invest-NL is investing € 5 million in TIN Capital’s new European Cyber Tech Fund V. This fund targets fast-growing European scale-ups in the cybersecurity sector and builds on the Dutch Security TechFund (DSTF), which TIN launched in 2018.
Together with other public parties such as InnovationQuarter, ROM Regio Utrecht, and several private investors and family offices, Invest-NL has committed to a total investment of € 15 million in the fund. The total fund size is expected to be finalized in the coming months, with a target size exceeding € 80 million.
“The geopolitical context and the growing digital threat make it imperative for Europe to pursue technological autonomy—an effort in which the Netherlands can and must play a crucial role,” said Johan Stins, Senior Investment Manager. “By investing now in European cybersecurity innovations, we take responsibility for Europe’s digital security in the future.”
Invest-NL previously invested in TIN Capital’s Dutch Security TechFund (see: Dutch Security TechFund). This fund has invested in companies such as BreachLock (IT system vulnerability testing) and Eye Security (incident response and cyber insurance): two rapidly growing companies that contribute to strengthening Europe’s digital resilience.
